Water Garden and Farm Ponds

There are many trends in gardening, and installing a water pond or maintaining an existing farm pond are more popular than ever. Most water gardeners look to their ponds as a source of relaxation and escape, not a source of work and maintenance. Water gardens are often enhanced with features like fountains and waterfalls, rock, stone, plants, lighting and fish, but if properly designed, should require little maintenance making it as easy or as complicated as the owner desires. Construction can vary from a plastic tub of water to an elaborate pond system.

A farm pond, on the other hand, is simply a still body of water located next to agricultural land. Although constructed rather than naturally occurring, it may be filled either permanently or seasonally. It serves as a water supply for livestock, or as a fish or wildlife habitat or for recreation. A well maintained pond is useful to the owner, and is a thing of beauty. But a poorly maintained pond is an eyesore.

No matter what type of pond you have, Kruse Farm Supply & Garden Center carries a wide assortment of products to meet your needs.
